Join JC Carey of Westcott and JCPhotoMedia - a man who believes the only thing brighter than a properly exposed portrait is a student having an aha moment—as he takes you on a hands-on photowalk through the dazzling chaos of Midtown Manhattan. Along the way, you’ll harness the power of Westcott Lighting gear and conquer the dark art (okay, well-lit art) of High-Speed Sync Flash Photography.
This isn’t your grandma’s photography class—unless she’s a lighting nerd too, in which case, bring her along. JC will walk you through the basics of HSS with equal parts knowledge, enthusiasm, and questionable jokes. You’ll learn how to overpower the sun, shoot wide open in the middle of the day, and stop motion like a photography ninja. Bonus points if you do it without dropping your camera in Times Square.
Whether you're just starting out or still think the pop-up flash is a good idea (spoiler: it’s not), this class will help you ditch the fear and shoot with flash like a pro.
